Abstract: A holographic theory is strictly speaking a sequence of theories labeled by a positive integer N, and a dual gravity description appears in the large N limit. The theories in this sequence must exhibit intricate relations among themselves. I will discuss the interplay between such relations and supersymmetry, and derive some general consequences on the bulk black holes.
