Abstract: High energy physics is facing challenges of e.g., understanding the origin of observed matter-antimatter asymmetry, the nature of dark matter. Scenarios to address those challenges often involve dynamics in Quantum Field Theory that at present cannot be solved due to computational or theoretical limitations. An elegant solution exists in the form of real-time simulation, albeit substantial theoretical issues and hardware developments are required. In my talk, I will motivate the critical need for real-time simulation by enumerating such outstanding problems in high energy physics and discuss existing techniques and challenges to simulate quantum field theory in real-time.
