Abstract: In this talk, I will first review the holographic description of Kerr black holes. Then by invoking the new boundary conditions for AdS2 as well as their higher dimensional uplifting, I will talk about the symmetry analysis of the near horizon geometry of a family of Kerr-like black holes in the extremal case. Under the new boundary conditions, the asymptotic symmetry of the near horizon extremal geometry can be realized as the symmetries of a warped CFT. For the non-extremal case, I will talk about the hidden conformal symmetry from scalar perturbations. The warped conformal symmetries in this case can be induced from the diffeomorphisms that keep the scalar wave equation as well as its frequency invariant. As a consistency check, I will show the reproducing of the black hole entropy and scattering amplitudes from warped CFT calculations.
